I have moved to the land which works on credit and credit history. I arrived in SFO on Nov 20 and working here since Nov 22.
It has been a roller coaster ride till now. At every step some sort of ID is needed to prove that you are who you are saying. With SSN and driver's license done, I am sort of in the system now and able to prove my identity. No bank is willing to give me a credit card. They say that I dont have credit history. It is very much like companies looking for experienced folks only.
I bought a car which is very much essential here.
