In Los Altos Hills
It is 11.47pm on a Friday night and I am working on some perl/C++ stuff. Visiting Yahoo! Sunnyvale for a month.
Landed in SFO on Sept 30th via Mumbai and Frankfurt. Flying business class is enjoyable and does not tire one too much ;) A limo was waiting at the airport to take us to Cypress Hotel Cupertino.
Attended Arturo's party on 30th evening. Was too tired, but somehow managed to stay awake. kalyan, Scott Renfro and Glenn Arango where present. GK was not able to make it.
Went to office on Oct 1st, met my manager and ex-manager. Met folks who have moved to Yahoo! HQ from Bangalore and then got my laptop (temporary). Left work around 3.30pm and got back to Cypress. Went to Spago Hotel in a 15 seater limo with the other SuperStars who were put up in the same hotel. A camera man and a reporter welcomed us and asked a couple of questions. Champagne was served, team and individual photos were taken. We then moved toward the dinner tables. The proceedings were similar to some movie award presentations. The limo dropped us back to the hotel.
The same night Sanjeev(old friend) sprung a surprise on me by turning up at the hotel. He is doing his MS in UTA. It was fun to meet him and Chini(my cousin), he and I had a nice time together. He left this evening.
