I had been to Mysore over the weekend. Turned out to be a great trip. As usual we (Pradeep , his friends and me) went to Planet X on Sat evening, which is an amusement park of sorts. The bowling lanes, video games and pool tables were also open this time in addition to the star attraction go-karting. We played pool on a small table (Rs40/- per hour) and then tried bowling. There are 5 lanes and the charge is Rs80/- per person. Did not feel like trying out any of the video games. We found that the go-karting lanes were booked till late in the night. So we headed to Chamundi Hills. There are 2 places on the way from where one gets to see breath taking views of Mysore. On Sunday, one can see the palace lighting too.
We were sort of thrilled and surprised to hear RadioCity FM 91 loud and clear on Chamundi hills. The same is not possible in Mysore city. The car stereo even locked onto some police frequency and we were able to hear cops talking. Don't know how this happened. But was really cool ;) We returned to Planet X and found that the go-karting was completely booked. We played pool for another hour and this time on a bigger table (Rs50/- per hour) before heading home.
Sunday morning, we went to Mylari, a small restaurant in Nazarbad, very famous for its masala dosa. We went to Planet X again, and we were got a chance to take the go-karts for a spin, 10 laps for Rs100/-. We played pool again :) Then we headed to a dhaba on Bangalore-Mysore road. The food over there was sick. We returned home making up our minds never to go to that dhaba again.
