*emerges shortly from under the bed and quickly empties the contents of one arm--a box of chocolate cherries, the chocolate-peppermint kind of candy canes, some other sweets, and a teeny notepad that says 'ACCOUNTANTS DO IT WITH CALCULATION' at the top of each page--into Arthur's stocking, before depositing a present wrapt in Christmas paper underneath the tree* --a latke--there--waiting for Hannukah to come.
