So this evening I finished the 2/3 of Haruhi that I hadn't seen yet. I actually finished something a series! :D And I really liked the later episodes. I watched it in chronological order, which was an interesting experience. Maybe I'm just a dork, but I found it really fascinating to think about how watching it numerically would be different. The story is definitely starts a little slow, picks up in the middle with a lot of action and interesting plot details, then gradually slows back down towards the end. I think the reason they messed with the order so much was to mix up the most interesting parts so it wasn't lopsided towards the ending. But it was still a lot of fun! Though watching 14 midway gives you an odd sense of closure halfway through the series. xD;
I also played through a very fun part of Zelda today. Or, at least it was. D< If you've ever played TWW, you might remember the 100-floor dungeon where you fought through 100 floors of monsters in a row. It was a lot of fun, and there is a TP equivalent. I got a little cocky though, and didn't fill up my bottles. So, towards the very end I was down to a single heart, and had to fight a Darknut and two dragons with swords and shields. I thought that I might as well give up, but I managed to beat them without getting hit. 8D So I thought that was the end, and I'd have my reward. But there was another room! Three Darknuts. o_o; And the are so hard in TP. ;; I managed to take one down, but then died and ended up wasting like an hour. Sigh.
Um, other than that, not a lot is going on. I think we're going to work on applying for school on Monday, and tomorrow that EB-employee friend of mine is coming over to take one of my SNESs. A girl he knows wants one for Christmas. o_o I do not understand why. She also wants Mario Kart, and DKC 1 & 2. It's...weird, but he said he'd buy me a couple of Wii games for free if I'd let 'em go.
Finally, I got greenlighted for the Mac Pro~ ♥ But...now I have a dilemma. o_o the Macworld conference is in early January, and it's completely possible that they'll announce something new there. And when they do, it's usually something better for the same price. (See iPod) I know that the quad-core Xeons are out now, so it's possible they'd put, quite literally, eight processors into the Mac Pro. A...little overkill, but if it was the same or a little more, I could see myself really regretting not waiting. The child in me says "Shiny! Go!" but the adult says I should wait. :x
...this was a really geeky entry. o_o; I apologize.
