Birthday~
Pretty uneventful, but that's how I prefer them. :x I called around in the morning and thanked everyone who sent me a birthday card. When I opened the one from my grandparents, I really couldn't believe it. XD; The card went on and on about how proud they are of me with school and etc, and then the actual card part concludes with "...you just go to show that the apple never falls far from the tree." I look at it, and I'm like "...nah, it couldn't be. It must have been unintentional." So then I see a little footnote that says "*indicates your future present." So I look for the asterisk on the card, and it's by the apple in the picture. Wow. xD; I guess you know you're a fangirl when. That was very amusing. They basically said I can have my laptop around the time school starts~ ♥ And I know exactly how to order it having basically walked triforce89 though the whole thing. :3 This was a very timely announcement, because I've gotten two letters from school in the mail: one with a certificate congratulating me on making it onto the Dean's honor roll, and another excellence award given out for having a 3.9 GPA or higher. I just wish these honors had money attached to them. :l
Um, we went out to eat at the Outback Steakhouse after that. It was absolutely delicious ♥ Of course my parents belabored the point that it was my birthday, which I wish they wouldn't do. Their act of betrayal did score me a free scoop of absolutely fantastic ice cream-another confection I really eat-so I suppose it was acceptable this time.
The cousin whom I've mentioned before also called. I think his school got out last week, because he's been calling every day. ._.; I don't mind talking to him, but it's too expensive and too much on me to talk to him every day. His parents should be the ones to limit him, but of course they don't. I think they even make him take care of the baby and the dog while they're gone. A just-now thirteen year-old autistic kid! Sigh. I do my best not to be angry with his parents.
Finally, some friends came over last night. ♥ I gathered a small collection of presents, the most notable of which was a piece of yellow foam that one of my friends had drawn a Pikachu on. 8D; It's so cute! ♥
So ultimately it was a pretty good day. I really do wonder if I'll do anything for my 21st, though...not drink, of course, but, like, something. XD; Man. I'm so old. Everyone on my FL is still a teenager. D:
