nursing the baby, the cold, a cold

Sep 12, 2005 20:40

Niels brought his baby doll to LLL today. He's been really into playing with her recently, pretending that she needs to sleep, that she's crying, that she's cold and needs her hat, etc. At the meeting today he said, "she needs to nurse!" sat down on the floor, pulled up his shirt, and nursed her. This is the first time in a while that he's nursed anything and the first that he actually nursed the baby doll. I, of course, completely melted, it was so sweet.

It was cold here today! The high was only 67 and it was about 65 in the house all day. I actually wore a sweatshirt and am wearing socks right now. I can't remember the last time I wore socks. I was expecting it to stay hot through most of October, but I'll take this cooler weather.

The only downside to the cooler weather is that I have a cold. It could be a coincidence, of course, and, most likely, it is. I have been feeling like I was getting a cold for about 3 weeks now. I'm not sure if this is an extension of that (allergies maybe?) or if I'm actually coming down with something. My throat is sore and I am very sneezy. I hope to manage to get to bed early tonight.
