I tried really hard to think of a clever little title for this entry. I settled on that. ADDI, YOU SET THE BAR TOO HIGH.
I'm blogging because I have a thought that isn't my work-woes for a hot minute, and I thought I'd write it down. Also, I'm doing this instead of emailing Sean, since I've already sent him 2 emails tonight.
Sean, YOU HAVE A

Ever since about 1996 when "mp3" came about, I've just been saving them up and hording them away. In the early days the only stuff you could get a hold of was bizarre stuff like BarnesAndBarnes-FishHeads.mp3 or WasNotWas-WalkTheDinosaur.mp3, and those goodies have survived. And then came Napster and you could get an Entire Album! Wow. For a long time, it wasn't anything more than a cool party trick - in college, I was known for pissing people off (okay, mostly just Addi) by playing 25 seconds of their favorite song, then moving on to the next awesome song that I just HAD to play at THAT very moment. I was kinda shocked when I started doing theatrical sound design and realized that there might be a use for all of that excess. Who knew?
But of course, I’m crazily happy that it’s being helpful for you! And who knows - maybe you’ll have more projects like this that I can help with :)

For some reason, I’m just stuck with an image in my head - the cutest baby girl in the world has grown to be about 14, and she’s just stumbled upon the “Internet WayBack Machine” (http://www.archive.org) and specifically abigaillouise.livejournal.com. And then her mother has to explain to her that “RETARDED cute” is a compliment :D
(Just kidding, of course - I’m pretty sure that A) the Wayback machine doesn’t track livejournal and B) the use of the word retarded will obviously never go out of style :) )
The third photo is an awesome shot of how curious and precocious she is (aka awesome). My favorites, though, are the last two - I decree that a copy of each of those should be the adopted standard for putting in new picture frames, for the rest of time. It would really help the picture frame industry. Gwen - what are your thoughts on Baby Modeling?

Besides that, Abby, I just want to exclaim how happy you make me. I’m crazy about you, and your wonderfulness just never lets up. I love you infinity-many. xo
