Last night we got Biscuit back from the vets.
He had a huge bandage on his leg - looked a bit like a plastercast - the vet said we must keep it on as it has a drain under it, and we must not do it under any circumstances, but that he had already managed to get the bandage off several times at the vets.
We took him home in the car - a drive of about 3 minutes - he went demented and fought like crazy in his carrier, and by the time he was home he had pulled the bandage down so the wound was exposed *sigh* we took him straight back and they redid it with a tiny dressing this time and charged us another £6!
This time I happened to mention I was a nurse as they were trying to explain what the drain was to me, so they went from saying "YOU MUST NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES DO THE DRESSING!" to "Oh! Do you have any of these dressings yourself at home? You could just sort it out yourself"
*sigh*
We decided that Biscuit is scared int he carrier, so just carried him home in my arms - and he was a different cat - looking around and calmly snuggling in to me.
When we finally got home Muffin was not happy with the new Biscuit and they have had to be separated all night and watched the rest of the time - so far Biscuit hasn't got the new dressing off, but it is looking a bit gungy.
After that we ordered a pizza and tried to relax - cue the boys wussing out at the grandparents and wanting to come home - first Isaac, then Daniel, and Isaac was complaining of a sore ear - argh!
The pizza also finally arrived an hour late and stone cold - funnily enough by that time I had lost my appetite anyway.
What an evening.
Well, I suppose I should be grateful that I don't suffer from Eczema or other stress related things!
I dread to think what I would look like! :)
