I suppose the same might be said of anywhere. Nevertheless, my resolve to burn the thing grows more resolute every day. Meanwhile the negative consequences seem to diminish in significance.

[He wouldn't be so frank, but the humiliation has gone out of this issue by now. He blames all of the retelling. Or perhaps he has just become sick of it, and tired beyond caring.]

Not long ago the village was attacked by .. beasts. I damaged my uniform in fighting a number of them off.

[One is a number, right?]

My ire is derived from the difficulty that I have since encountered in repairing said garments. It would not have been so difficult, once.
