Kamil and Lucian were close because Lucian got Kamil so involved with the Black Order. I mean, a cute little kid like Kamil following his father around everywhere and being at almost every Black Order charity event, rally, etc. will make people notice you, rofl. Lucian also helped Kamil with various things, especially physical and mental strength, as well as psychological strength. Lucian is the main reason Kamil gets enamored with one thing and then views it from different angles, sometimes sitting in his office for hours finding out and trying to solve different things.
Lucian's death was pretty hard to handle, because he died rather young still, and Kamil felt like there was more he could learn, but he eventually accepted it and moved on. The sword in Kamil's pictures and his profile picture was a gift Lucian gave him, because he believed that his son would become a Knight at some point in life. Kamil did use the sword, but after some time it felt like it was wrong to use it, so for the time being it is in his room at the family's home in Milan.
Now, on Arlette. Kamil, since he was around Lucian so much, did not have that close of a relationship with Arlette, but he tried to do the "big boy" things for her when Lucian was off on a business trip, like mowing the grass or keeping the twins extra busy while she got dinner ready or something. He did get closer to her as he got older, and she instilled in him respect for women - that they weren't just "baby factories" and things to sleep with (she also said the same thing about men, if Kamil was going to swing that way - except without the "baby factories" part). He prided himself in getting Arlette to smile - apparently he and the twins have her smile to this day - but on his mother it looked so much better.
Some time before Arlette disappeared, Kamil had noticed that she had become somewhat distant from him and the twins, and kept on trying to talk to her, to see if there was anything he could do for her. She disappeared shortly after Lucian's death, and Kamil didn't know what to think. To this day, he still thinks about whether she's alive or not, and if she knows about how he and the twins are doing. He's not sure how he'd handle seeing her again after almost five years, though.
lol, well~ After so long, I'm sure that if she appeared, especially during or after the war, he'd be like "...... Excuse me?" And the smile would probably get to him, mentally. If anything, I think his reaction would be like "Oh, she's alive, but where the hell has she been for the past five/six years??"
