mvo officially starts tonight!
all the staff have started arriving... not everyone is here yet, but the ones who are here are wicked awesome.
can't wait for IVO to start!!! three more hours!!!
i'm talking to staff from all over... i'm proud of myself. last year i was too shy to talk to anyone. i glued myself to Vio and made her introduce me to everyone she knew. in the dorm last fall i waited for people to introduce themselves to me, which never happened. now i'm going up to random people, 'hi i'm joelle from french hack. how are you?' and meeting people and talking w/ people and its wicked awesome.
also, talking w/ the new staff. they're all so scared! i remember that fear... only now do i realize i wasn't alone. i've been telling people,especially the ones that are scared shitless, my room number and inviting them to come by if they want to talk about their worries and whatever. hopefully i'll be able to help them atleast a little, and make a friend in the process.
