A Teacher's Lament

Dec 07, 2004 16:53

I need fun in my life. I want to be passively entertained in 8 minute
segments while I sit on my ass and absorb (or not)

I want the work to happen but I don't want to do it.

What do you mean I'm failing? I turned in 1/7 assignments and I REALLY
worked for FIVE WHOLE MINUTES on it.

You're just being mean to me because you're prejudiced.

Since you're prejudiced, I'm gonna jack yo stuff.

I need fun in my life. I want students who will stay awake long enough
to hear what assignments are required and what the explanation is.

I want them to work. If they don't practice skills, they won't have
any.

I want them to pass. I want them to turn in each and every assignment,
because each one is crafted to further their abilities and if they will
just do what I ask, they will be astonished at how far they will come.

I am prejudiced against ignorance and narrow mindedness. I grow weary
of buying things from my own pocket that will make my students days more
productive, only to find that they are stolen or randomly destroyed.

I need fun in my life.
