Here I am, Rock me like a Hurricane
Well life has been pretty hectic for ole Jenkins as of late...I never have anytime to just chill and relax without having something to do...I never get to really hang out with the guys, but I chose to do all this so it's all good...I enjoy being busy to a degree...I can't stand to just sit around for a long time.
First of all, I've only got classes on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday which is kind of nice...Intro to State and Local Politics, Intro to Theatre, Advanced Acting, Intro to Literature, Intro to Dance, and Private Piano lessons on Wednesdays...So basically the only classes that I have regular homework are in Politics and Literature and it's just reading...The only problem with having classes on only those days is that you can get bogged down on a lot of reading at one time...But doing this gives me the opportunity to work on Tuesday and Thursday during the day and have the night off.
I'm loving my job at Chili's...Being a server is awesome...Time goes by so fast there b/c you're always doing something...The money is damn good too, especially compared to what I got at Sonic...The people there are cool except many of the girls complain and whine too much about having to work...Usual shit...
We just finished our third week of rehearsals for our fall production of "You Can't Take it With You." It's going pretty well...It's going to turn out really good, I can tell...There are so many characters which I like for a change, and they all get their moment to shine...We've had problems with everyone being there, but I think it'll all work itself out...I'm playing a role I'm not use to playing...I'm having to play a romantic lead...I'm use to playing either a funny role or a villainous role...This is a big change for me...I've got to say all these cheesy sappy lines like "I'd follow you to the ends of the earth" or "All that matters is that we're in love." BLAH! But oh well, it's gonna be a good challenge...Doc said I have to learn to make love to her with my voice and words.
I'm also pledging for the fraternity Sigma Alpha Epsilon...That's going well...It's a lot of fun and there are some cool cats in there...I'm anxious to see what's in store for me the next 4 weeks.
So there it is...I'm either at school, work, play rehearsal, or doing something for fraternity...No down time...That will change once the play's over tho...It's funny how much time that takes away, but I love it and will continue to do it...There is no frat meeting on Sunday night so I've got that, plus all day Monday for Fall Break with no work or rehearsal...Oh my! what am I gonna do? I'll figure something out ;-)
