As plans go, his was a simple one. After Connor had helped Peter clean out Griffin's lab for anything that could be useful in regards to Harry, he intended to go back to the penthouse, drop his weapons there, take a shower, drive to Silver Hills looking presentable (as opposed to having Griffin's blood and eye fluids all over him), get Harry

When Harry talked to Kara on the phone she assured him she would take a cab to the penthouse so he could just meet her there. He didn't wake Connor until he parked the car, and then he gently shook him.

"Hey, pretty boy, time to get up and face your parents. Kara is probably waiting in the hall for us, let's go."

He leans over and kisses Connor's temple as Connor's eyes open and he gives Harry a tired look.

"Yeah, I know, you're exhausted, but the faster we get up there and meet with Kara, the faster we get your parents out of the house so you can sleep."

Connor can't believe he fell asleep. Harry got released from the days from hell and was supposed to be cared for, and Connor falls asleep. Way to go. On the other hand, he can't recall the last time he slept before that, and they did make it back to the penthouse, obviously, and despite the lingering horror of the green goo aftereffects, they just had something of a good ending, had they not?

Okay. Kara. Parents.

"Right,"

Connor says, trying to get back to alert status. His parents are worried about Kara, who was worried about Harry just as he was, and he needs to get it together to present reliability and gratitude all around.

"Sorry about..."

He can't help himself. The surge of overwhelming relief comes again, and he kisses Harry, passionately. This also really helps with the waking up process. Then he gets out of the car.

By the time they make it to the hallway where he spots Kara, he is sure he can deal with just about anything. For the next ten minutes.

Kara is in the hall. She's looking at the artwork on the wall. It's the same generic work that they have in all buildings like this. Expensive and with the ability to compliment almost any decor. She hates it. She wonders how people can stand walking past it everyday.

And there are the boys. Together. First time she's seen them together since - well. There are other things to think about now, but even so her arms cross against her chest, pulling her coat further around her.

"You look better." She says to Harry. And then to Connor - "And you look like total shit."

Angel hears the three voices in the hall and doesn't wait for them to walk inside. Instead, he strides across the entrance way and opens the door, glaring at Bernard who merely stares at him. The butler is creepy and reminds Angel why the butler is usually the killer in murder mysteries.

"Kara, is your phone broken?" Angel asks, forcing himself to keep an even tone. Then he gets a look at Connor and frowns. "She's right, you look worse than when you left. Did you fall asleep?"

He steps aside so the three can walk in. Osborn looks more rested than Kara or Connor. Apparently the psych ward agreed with him. Angel is determined to keep his cool so he calls out to Darla, "Kara and Connor are back." That's right. They can deal with their mother.
