what things may come

this weekend was the first concert - carolyn cruso who plays the dulcimer, the guitar, & the flute played saturday night - saturday day, jerry & i stayed here while courtney, colette, & steve went to farmers market - we spent the whole day fighting the massive cobwebs and mouse shit and filth - so funny how we'll live like animals until the general public is going to be coming around - but so this friend of steve's, this woman sequoia & her boyfriend jason, came to help clean up the place & she opened all the doors and let wind in and brought in flowers, she re-arranged our downstairs cluster of instruments (piano, organ, shelves, etc) so the room could breathe, we all four of us ate these little chocolate cayenne marijuana candies - i was like i haven't smoked pot in a month or more... what will it feel like? "it's a journey..." so the whole day of cleaning, and all through the evening , i was stoned in a way i've never known before - like kerouac's zen jumping down a mountain, you just run and put your feet on the right spots not knowing why you made the decision you did but it works out perfectly - that was me while cleaning & decorating the farmhouse & the concert hall upstairs.... WAH and i was up there trying to fix a chair, looking for a screw -

the wind was guSting like HELL all that day - - -

so i was looking for the screw and the side door alternative exit stairway door got BLASTED open by the wind BOOM CRASH and i gasped and walked over to it, walked out onto the stair way, sat down, smoked a butt & wrote:

one day in minnesota
a wind came blasting through -
doors blew open and
leaves came in, and swept and mopped -
tin signs clattered metal string songs,
grasping at stairway pipes,
sheet music pages lifted in wind
until we stopped to look,
to breathe in sharp gasps
against each lung cutting gust
that whipped and crashed, our shaking hands
struggling curtains----

But the house didn't fall
it only taught us all
what nature looks like
after a storm...

then later we were eating salad on the tin roof, when carolyn cruso showed up and climbed our rickety ladder and joined us on the roof and ate our salad offering with her hands - it was sick -

a lot of people showed up for her show and she was a talking candle.

today keiron means and sara gray played old scottish songs on banjo and guitar - i bought his album & he gave me a discount. i encourage people to make copies of it.

we make delicious cookies... i ate so many i'm going to shit really hard tomorrow morning...preferably nearby to some toilet paper, or poetry....

THe END
