SO!!! Tracy & I got to Tim's right @ 3...Steph, Geros, & Kristin C. were already there...Michaline came a few minutes later...Eric took forever cuz he was out @ Best Buy. We all just sat & talked & watched parts of "Whatever It Takes"...Kristin Coffman is super cute & nice, she isn't mean @ all..she cracked me up the whole time! :) Well..So Eric finally got there..& we all leave..I rode in the front seat of Eric's car..& then Michaline & Tracy in the back..the other 4 were in Tim's car...Eric made us listen to Led Zeppelin most of the way there, It was good stuff..& the Steve Miller Band, Who I love, because my dad always listens to them!...When we got next to the All-State Arena, we ate @ Steak N Shake..That was good stuff...then we all went into the Arena, & went to get shirts..Geros lead the way & we all just cut in front of 09438093840934 girls! LOL! Our seats were pretty good, the arena is pretty small..so wherever you are, you're pretty well off...The Opening Band was "The Thorns" Dude, They SUCKED!...Me, Michaline, Tracy, Eric, & Kristin C. kept laughing because they told us who they were literally about 500 times, every 5 seconds, "ahem, we're the THORNs"..THEN, to top it ALL off...THE LAST SONG THEY SANG WAS SOMETHING LIKE, "And this is why we're called the thooooooorns!" OMG, u had to be there..n/m, u would have died of boredom. lmao...Now for the GOOD stuff..
John Mayer came out a little after 8 or so...the lights just ALL went out, & everyone got up & started SCREAMING like CRAZY!..He came out & opened with "No Such Thing"...He had the most beautiful voice ever..He sounds soooo incredible live..Best Concert I have EVER been to BY FAR....It was soo much better than we had all anticipated too! You'd think it'd be all mellow & whatnot, but it was crazy....He was making jokes the whole time...doing little dances...he changed some of his songs around & added CUSSWORDS..lol, dang it...U know the song "City Love" where he says, "She keeps a toothbrush at my place..As if I had the extra space"..he changed toothbrush to TAMPONS..lol...he's so great!...Omg, I wish you all could have seen how absolutely phenomenal his performances were!! I called Brandi during "No Such Thing" so she could hear him! Then, I called Mike G. during "Daughters" so he could hear him too! I don't remember the order & I'm probably forgetting some..but the songs he sang were:
*No Such Thing, My Stupid Mouth (Best song!), Your Body Is a Wonderland, Daughters, Wheel, Split Screen Sadness, Why Georgia, City Love, 1983, Neon, Bigger Than My Body, Come Back To Bed, Clarity, Only Heart
& I THINK that's it, may be wrong though...At the end, he said his goodbye's & went off the stage....EVERYONE just stood up & clapped & clapped & clapped & screamed....for about 5 minutes...& guess what?!...
HE CAME BACK OUT! He started talking to us about Thanksgiving & made this super funny joke about people who shop the day after Turkey Day..I dunno, u had to be there..Then he started singing Christmas songs! He sang about 5 more songs & did the prettiest/BEST guitar solo! His guitar solo for "Come Back To Bed" was absolutely incredible..he has SO much talent, I don't know HOW anyone could sit here & say that this man HAS NO TALENT..he is FUCKING AWESOME!! =]Best Night of my life!
After the show...we all got back in our cars....Eric kept eating all of my popcorn, that boy cracks me up..he's such a sweetheart too, He & I kept making jokes about how we were gonna be famous, & he said that we were just gonna be famous for us having sex together on the stage! LOL, WHAT?!..It was funny, haha...Anyhow, I'm so glad that I went with everyone that I did, It was awesome...Mamaline, I mean MICHALINE is sooo cute! That's the new name I gave her, because she's seriously like a mom-so mature & wise! HAHA!
Anyhow, I'm back home now...Soooo Tired...Talking to everyone & their mother's online & talking about what a great time I had. Sammy thinks he is an ice skater & is sliding all over the floor chucking cat food around...I missed that son-of-a-gun all day!! HAHA! Well, Tomorrow, I get to spend more time w/my mom, she leaves tomorrow night...So, not sure what's going on tomorrow..sleep till 3, that's the plan! I'm gonna go to bed now, I am completely exhausted!
