update on jimmy etc...

so i talked to jimmy and got the latest update on his injuries, apprently the assessment we got on new year's even was incorrect. his ocular cavity is in fact cracked, that part was right, but no broken nose or jaw. that's the good part of the update. the bad part is that his cheekbone was shattered and the bone fragments severed nerves in his face, he has little to no feeling in that whole side of his face and the doctors won't now if it's permanent or not for a while. correction, some is permanent, the question is how much. they also hadn't arrested the guy as of yesterday because jimmy hadn't been able to "officially" complete his statement due to his morphine schedule being inconvenient for the officer in charge of his case or something, but since the county was going to press charges even if jimmy didn't at all, it's only a matter of time. from what i understand there are already court hearings scheduled, but since that info was from the same incorrect source as the other bad information i got, i'll believe it when jimmy tells me. for those of you who don't know, the important part of the story is that some asshole sucker punched jimmy in the jaw and he broke his face when he hit the concrete floor of the bar on new year's. the DA is supposedly going to push the hate crime angle. i'll post details when they happen, eventually, this shit is notoriously slow.

jamie's telling me about his mother died yesterday as i type this. suck.
