I know that it is totally bizarre to post Part 10 of this WIP on this lj without posting Parts 1-9. I am choosing to post it nevertheless. Those who have already read the earlier chapters may find it easier to access here

His skin presses against hers everywhere, and he gathers her in his arms, holds her body as tightly against his as he can, willing her to melt into his embrace and to never escape.
After what Lee's been through, losing her and loving her ghost and losing that too, this feels so exactly right. That when Lee finally gets his hands on her again, he'd try to possess every inch of her and fuse her against his skin. And it's romantic as hell.
His dark thoughts are interrupted by Kara’s soft laughter. Against his chest, her laugh feels like a fluttering in his heart. “I can’t breathe,” she whispers against his chest.
I LOVE this paragraph. I love the way you describe things....her laugh feels like a fluttering in his heart, it's so poetic and soft and warm. And what Kara says is perfect. She doesn't panic that Lee is holding her so tightly; she just laughs and whispers against his skin. Perfect.
“Show you?” Lee repeats, like a dimwitted beggar in the presence of a goddess.
Again, I love your descriptions.
Uncertainty flashes across Kara’s face and Lee mentally punches himself for letting her think he is hesitant. This is exactly the mistake he’s always made with her - well, one of the three thousand or so. He’s always paused, double-checked, sought out verification, given her time to think (time to push away, time to doubt his desire for her). When maybe - clearly - this is what she really wants, to see his certainty, to know without question where he stands, what he feels, how much he wants.
Yes!!! This IS EXACTLY the mistake he makes. Kara is always the first to doubt herself, and Lee is the master at hesitation. Lee should never give Kara the time to over-think things. Take action boy, kiss her now! I adore the glimpses you give us into Lee's thoughts. :)
“I don’t want restraint,” she says. “I want you to show me everything.”
Brave girl *gives Kara an energy drink*
But when it comes to Kara, Lee has always had a dozen different hearts, each one locked away inside the next, like a series of nesting wooden dolls. Treasure boxes within treasure boxes. And to open them all at once, Lee’s always felt, would be disaster.
Again you are killing me ded with the gorgeous imagery. So descriptive, so delightful so romantic. I am completely in love with this story :)
Kissing Kara is like nothing else. It’s like eating sunlight.
GUH!! so...so...so...PERFECT!!!!!
It’s a forgetting of himself, not just who he is, but what he is. Lost in the fusion of his mouth and tongue with Kara’s, Lee lets go of what it is to be separate, alone, individual, a being unto himself. Kissing Kara, he is a part of something far greater than himself, and he never wants his independence back.
Poetic, and glorious and what I want for K/L to be - melded/fused/joined/united/stuck together forever.
“Go to sleep,” he says into Kara’s hair, but she already has. He wipes his mind clean and allows himself only to think of how he has always wanted to fall asleep just like this, as Kara’s pillow, with the strands of her hair teasing his chest. He has always wanted to know what this felt like, and it feels like a dream.
Happy sigh. I love how Lee couldn't be gentle with her; his desperation for her wouldn't allow it. And of course Kara wrapped herself around him like a protector, while Lee lost control. She embraced everything Lee had to offer and she knew that she never wanted him to leave. And the gentle snuggling afterwards is beautiful. I love it how Lee takes the time to appreciate getting something he's always wanted. I found it slightly melancholy that he still felt it was dream-like. I'm hoping for the reality of having Kara love him back to hit Lee full in the chest.
