Being an engineering major and all (aerospace engineering, at that), it's not uncommon for other people to hear what my major is and say things like "Wow, you must be really smart!" or "Man, I bet you're taking some hard courses." and other such things...
However, from my perspective, I see all the English majors...all the history majors...all the linguistics, economics, biology, and religious studies majors and think the exact same thing.
Frankly, I'm terrible at taking most liberal arts/sciences classes. I enjoyed some of them, but not to extent that I'd want to major in the subject matter (examples being Asian mythology, which is part of Asian studies and Viking mythology, which is part of Scandinavian studies).
So, I guess my bottom question is, why do so many people consider engineers and people who have majors on the more technical side of the spectrum to be more intelligent? We're just doing what we seem to good at, aren't you all doing the same?

On another note, this semester's ending too quickly. I'm really going to miss some of my professors. I'm not quite ready for it all to end...
