-THE APPLICATION-

BASICS:

Name: Quinn
Gender/Sex/Affiliation: Masculine
Age: 23
Location: Prone to quick changes, but Atlanta this moment.

INQUISITIONS:

What attracted you to this community?
Expansive conversation. A current member's suggestions.

What is the highest level of school completed?
Some college. I don't like that you ask this question.

What are some of your major interests/hobbies?
Creating new worlds in my mind. Looking at colors. Contemplating. Being paranoid.

What about the human psyche most appeals to you, and why?
I had a dog attack me once and break my arm. I loved that dog so much. (Metaphors are magic.)

Type of music most enjoyed:
Latin inspired, long winded, screaming/whispering, yearning music... such as The Mars Volta, Devendra Banhart, etc. I also enjoy classical in minor keys.

Books/authors:
The Fountainhead, by Ayn Rand (yes, I see the contradiction in terms here ... but I never said I bought Objectivism completely); Disco Bloodbath, by James St. James (the most appealing and humorous dialect for the elitist out of water); Sin City Novels (for the hell of it); and The One I Have Yet to Write, by Me (well, obviously).

Something special or beautiful about your brain:
Do I need to go back to the dog? Are there any here who can understand why paranoia can be so much fun? Also, behind these closed eyes and comments on Britney Spears are worlds and worlds of what could be. With gravity and plane fare and such, I can only go so far physically, but I have fields of stars and wheat in my brain.

Are you an artist or writer? If yes, please post some of your work.

Random Diary Entries

Saturday, November 26th, 2005:

My mother died in a car crash.
"I killed your mother."
"Why would you take the one thing I have left?"

Sunday November 27th, 2005:

I now have an insane loyalty to paying hookers: I don't want to get in the habit of screwing people twice in the same day.

What color was George Washington's white horse?
George Washington, duh

OPINIONS:

Organized religion:
I believe that organized religion is an elaborate social structure brought forward by the invention of agriculture. It is our only social caste where humans can never hold the top position (yeah, right). I do however believe that there are possibly things that I don't know in this world

Society:
I believe there are two types of societies: there are those that function to help and support all (or some) of those involved in the society: I believe that this is dangerous and the desires of others can become more important than your own self-creation. Also, I think that there can be, within interdependent societies, a need for attention ... it becomes easier to receive what you need form others than to cause it yourself, thus generating manipulation, begging, etc.

There is another type of society, that can theoretically function, which is one in which each person is solely providing intellectualism and creativity, and staying away from resource provision. Within this the self that "is true" is born, not the truth that is most convenient to receive resources. (The self as being "true" refers to that which you create with only reference to your own desires of contribution to your own life.)

The occult/paranormal:
I believe that there are many things that I do not know ... and in the meantime, while I figure them all out, it sure is damn fun making wild guesses. Don't you think?

The environment:
Strange question. It's there. It can be quite pretty. I believe in non-judgement of that which is already created, so, when looking from my window, it can be quite beautiful.
(Let me clarify, I don't believe that within pointing fingers to the past, can any visions of the future appear.) I like this planet. I like it a great deal. As for family environment, etc., see "Society".

The Arts:
The Most Wonderful Thing that Exists! The true expression of the human brain. I, however, do not subscribe to didactic art. I think that art can be overused to get attention ... I am more excited by the scientific principles of art ... the creation of "perfection as defined by the human creating it." If we cannot create perfection, or we refuse to (based on our own opinions of how talented we are, etc.), then how can we even be willing to sit down and do art in the first place?

The Sciences:
See art ... they are the same to me. The mix of human idealism (what can we do, what can we create, how can we stretch the boundaries of our own universe), and the universe that already exists.

Drugs:
I don't believe in the medical usage of drugs, only the recreational usage. I think that our medical system is setup to rely on a person being sick, not healthy. How can I trust an industry that wants me to be sick?

Pornography:
I believe in watching it often, but aren't there different livejournal groups for that?

WORD ASSOCIATIONS:
List the first word that comes to your mind after the following-

Nun:Habit
Blood:AB
Cerebral:Pointy
Library:Grass
Words:Cylindrical
Butter:Scrape
Mirror:Lick
Lord:Javier
Semen:Yes sir.
