The creativity bug has bitten and I am now off and running on several new book ideas. I say ideas, because I am only going to develop each one as I am able and one at a time.
The first one comes from my thesis. It is a work for interfaith spiritual leaders and teachers, particulary those who are either looking to use the pegan practice called "pathworking", very simmular to guided meditations, and/or the Islamic story of Muhammad and his spiritual development, in story form. The book will simply be a discussion of the interfaith movement, a detailed look at the development of Islam, and four pathworkings about the spiritural point events in Muhammad's life. This work is already 70% writen.
The second book also comes from my thesis. It is less developed. This work will be writen from a Sufi point of view and written for the interfaith spiritual leaders and teachers, as the first book. This book will center on the sufi axium: die before you die. It will describe spiritual development from a Sufi perspective and include several models of spiritual growth that come to us from varous sufi traditions. This book is about 40% writen.
the third book is a dictionary of angels, writen for same interfaith group mentioned above. This book will be written for the middle of the road magical or spirtual practitioner. It will deal with the source of angels into the abrahamic traditions and then discuss the angels as they are used in Judiasm (and Kaballa), Christanity (and gnostism), Islam (and Sufism) and the western magical tradition. This book will end with several pathworkings to meet and learn from the four main archangles of the pentagram banishing rituals. This book is in a concept stage.
The last book is a fiction series which has been underway since october. More on this to follow.
It is all very exciting.
