Tell me if I should be pissed

So, I just found out that my high school has a website for sports records acheived, year by year.  I'm like 'HELL YEAH, people better remember my name, bitches what!'. . . or something like that. . . .

You see, before I got Mono Jr year, I set the girls' Vertical Jump record at like 24". . .the boys' record at the time was 29". . . so I'm thinking no one will ever beat that.  ALSO, my freshman year I was all-state track and my 1600M relay team was the best ever, and placed top 3 in the state, being beaten only by two St. Louis Area Catholic schools.  So I'm thinking I've got two entries in this nice little CHS Hornet record book.

So, I go to the website. . . . they fucking listed the 800M relay team from 1998 that did not even place at state but not my 1600M team.  AND, there's no mention of the vertical jump at all.

Okay, my Track Coach tried to go all Varsity Blues on my ass when my ACL was about to tear Soph year, so I told her to shove it and I quit track.  She tried to kick me out of the Letterman's Club, but I was like "Bitch, I lettered in two other sports, you can't kick me out". . . . and the next year I sat front & center of the letterman's club yearbook picture just to spite her.  With a big shit eating grin on my face.

So, since both of my records deal with track/field, I think this is her way of getting the last laugh.

Sidenote:  this chick was the little sister of one my dad's best friends.  When she was a kid, they called her Vicki "The Tank"  Melte and when I brought that up at Track practice one day when she was being extra mean @ the High Jump pit, I could tell she hadn't forgiven her older brothers and my dad. . . and didn't appreciate my attempt at challenging her authority.

I'd like to think people don't hold grudges for 30 years over something like a nickname. . . . however, I can't help but wonder.

Oh well, I live in Omaha now and only watch sports on TV.  I live a completely different lfe than I did 10 years ago.
