Last evening, I did my first run with the Vibram SportTrek. The track which I trained here in Sydney is covered by grass instead of the normal ones that you see in Singapore. I did about 20mins of warm up before I start the interval training.
The interval I did was 200m x 13 reps @ 45s-50s. When i run I tried not to land on my heel as much as possible. Cause landing on heel would be quite painful. When i walk with my Vibram, i feel I could feel the stones if I step on one. I just couldn't imagine MacRitchie terrain with it. But I will try someday.
This morning when I got up, I felt the entire ankle was very sore. It was so sore that I am beginning to worry that it was an injury.
reakmeyers wanted to do an easy run this morning. I would normally avoid running the next day immediately after an interval but i went along to do it.
I ran a total 6.8km for about 41mins and after the run, the ankle soreness disappear. Oh yes, I wore my Asics this time round for the easy run. I think i will try wearing the Bibram when I run on the grass again.
