There was once a hole in this earth
And I cant help but make these assumptions
The answers gleaming from a its birth
The answers bleeding on my shirt.
I open and exhale into the stars
Full of life and personality we are.
Expecting nothing more than it all
I haven’t left one switch untouched
This house of fire, but never of ghosts
I kept my gold in caves, my friends I held close.
I open and exhale into the sound
The moat we built straight through our town.
Well I just don’t know how this could pull my ship down.
Now I feel the Atlantic for the last time
Beading off my face.
