Mixed feelings

Last friday, I went shopping YAY, I bought my sister her b-day presents and a few pair of earrings for myself, yeah I've kind of a earring fetish. Getting my ears pieced was a b-day gift from my favorite aunt ten years ago, she was the best ever, she loved life so much, didn't make a big deal of a lot, didn't care if someone was different... Breasts cancer took her three years ago.

Even I didn't see her all the time, I miss her every didn't, can't find the strength to errase her number from my cell phone, don't know why though.  *sigh*

But back to my shopping, I paid the earrings, and the guy who took the money, wanted to give the change to my friend who was with me, for God's sake, I am in a wheelchair, not supid or invisible! My friend, didn't take it, she looked at the guy and pointed out to me. Telling him that he had to give it to me.

We are in 2009, or am I wrong? Some people or still so close minded that it's getting scary, thank God, he was the only one, acting like that, that day, but my friend finally understood what I was telling her.

That's making me think on something Shemar Moore said that is so true.

"It was truly a lesson in don't take something at face value. You know, so many of us do in life. Whether it's because of how somebody looks or because of what they're wearing or what have you, you kind of assess a person in the first five minutes before they even speak."

feelings, sad, shemar moore, stupid, shopping
