First day and galavanting
1. Today is the first day of our Summer Reading Club! I just checked and we signed up 168 kids today (which is 22 more than last year on the first day). If the numbers continue to go up, I will be ohsohappy. :D It was kinda crazy busy today. I kinda forgot how crazy busy it gets around Summer Reading Club time. Oy. (In a good way...)
2. Tomorrow I am off for a couple days in New York City for Book Expo America. I am really looking forward to the convention and to seeing (and meeting) people. I will be back Thursday late.
3. And Friday morning, the Insight guy is coming to uninstall my cable. I pay way too much for it since I hardly ever watch it. So, we'll give this a try. I have a feeling that I am not going to miss it that much (but if I do, I can always get it hooked back up). I wonder if they're going to charge me an uninstallation fee like they charged an installation fee? Probably. Assholes.
And that's all I have at the moment. I am ambivalent right now - very excited about my vacation, but also wishing I was staying here for the first few days of Summer Reading. Oh, well. I have good people who will hold down the fort and there will be plenty of Summer Reading left when I get back.
