Annnd... home again....
I had a completely awesome weekend in Bloomington. If there's anything that would have made it better, it would have been having more out-of-towners able to come. But seriously. Awesome.
I got in to Bloomington Friday around 5 and prettyinpink82, meggygirl, and I went shopping for party supplies. Then we headed back to Lindsay's where melodywenn met us when she got into town. We headed out to The Office Lounge for dinner and drinks. nova8800 and petrovnik and later Chris met us there and we listened to bad karaoke (and some good karaoke) and then called it a night.
Saturday we had brunch at The Runcible Spoon and then did some shopping on Kirkwood. I bought a bunch of new IU shirts and a new car sticker at Steve & Barry's and some pretty earrings at Moonstone (love that place!!!). We walked around campus a tiny bit and hit up TIS (so I am all set now as far as IU gear goes...). Went back to Lindsay's and chilled until the par-tay. We ordered Aver's pizza!
Millions of people came to the party and it was sooo good to see everyone. I met a bunch of very nice new people and a great time was had by all! There were two cakes and tons of food and Apples to Apples with 13 people. :D
This morning, we got up and lounged around, then headed out to Panera for lunch... And then I drove home. The drive home was not bad at all. I made it in about 4.5 hours and I've just been chilling, watching a little Buffy, and trying not to be sad about missing my Bloomington/Louisville friends. It's all good. I will see melodywenn in a month and possibly prettyinpink82 as well. And I will be back in Bloomington at the end of August, which is not all that far away.
I do have to say that I am quite jealous of prettyinpink82 and meggygirl living together a month from now because they are going to have sooo much fun! But that will just make it all the more fun for me to come down and visit. ;)
I am totally exhausted and I'm going to try and finish my book tonight because it is due tomorrow. And I will watch some more Buffy and possibly do a load of laundry. And then collapse into bed because the work week starts up again tomorrow... :P Hope everyone had a great weekend! This one will be hard to top...!
