The breath in my heart has gotten trapt in my stomache. I cannae explain it any other way. There is so much beauty amidst the wreckage, so much lyricism in the mud and rain and endless desperation. And under it all is Draco's almost broken soul and Harry's yearning, broken need. This is exactly what LJ has been missing.

Thank you for such beautiful feedback, Tip. This is the sort of response that I write for (which is not to negate any other response).

Oh, I'm broken.

I will write a coherent review when I've put myself back together.

Thank you for your reply! :)

Rereading it again was sort of healing because this time it wasn't as raw or purely biting. I was able to get a lot more out of it, I think.

I am infatuated with your Harry's characterizations, your Draco's. It's not so much exactly how I see it in canon, but apart from HP, apart from ever reading HP, they stand out as so real and quintessential to me. I see not only the people, but what they stand for. Harry is the hero - god he is the hero, and everything he does and says is so intense and significant, and so is everything Draco does.

And the beginning just sunk hooks into me and forced me to read. Very powerful. I'd write more, but am in class, but I'm sure you understand how well this resonated with me.

It means a lot to me, as a writer, that the characters were real to you. That's the hardest part, after all. So thank you. :)

That was absolutely gorgeous.

It hurt so much though.

Thank you for writing it and sharing it.

This was a really amazing piece. It was so wonderfully atmospheric and painful and true. Harry was so Harry here, no matter where he went or what he did and it hurt to watch it all happening. The writing was incredible and perfectly suited to the story you told, and it was about so much more than just getting two characters together. More fanfiction should be like this.

Thank you so much! It was one of my main concerns, whether Harry and Draco would still be recognizable in a completely unrecognizable environment. My nerves can now rest. A little. ;)

I don't think your review is crap at all. I thank you for it very much, actually. :)
