In my last post
here, I stated that I would be trying to break my internet addiction. It hasn't really worked all that well, as I've also come to realise that being online is simply one of my coping strategies for when I'm down. I struggled more, not having that comfort this past week when I needed it, and I think that instead of trying to go cold turkey I should instead simply cut down. As a result I'll be able to focus more on important things (such as upcoming music exams and big bangs) rather than wasting my time reading brilliant fanfics when I really should be working.
Looking back on that, I've just contradicted myself somewhat but...the bottom line is, I'm back but I'm not back as much as before and I've got no alerts other than for flist journals (not
dean_sam or
torch_wood ) and comments.
Has anybody got any tips for cutting down on fanfiction reading? I think I'm spoiled for most books now, so unless you can think of one that's ridiculously good please don't say read a book... :)
RANDOM: I was going to use "exanimate" as my mood theme but it had a dead!Dean which made me sad. :( So instead you get tired!Sammy. :D
ANOTHER RANDOM NOTE: If you want to hear reaaaaaally good piano music, try David Lanz's stuff. Or Yiruma's. :D
YET ANOTHER RANDOM NOTE: I'm eating a carrot. :O (what's the emoticon for eating?)
