Your vid really had me captured! I loved what you did with the beats at the beginning. Also really loved the moment with Nat. The whole thing was great.
Also, do you mind if I friend you? It appears that we have a lot of fandom overlaps. Sadly, I don't post much about fandom these days, but I definitely know I would enjoy reading your posts!

I didn't get into watching vids until a few years ago. In the hands of a talented vidder I think just about any source can be turned into an awesome vid but I agree that when a vid starts dragging I too shut it off. Heck even my own! If you do decide to check out some vids I'd visit veni_vidi_vids, which is a vid rec newsletter.
Also really loved the moment with Nat.Yay! I actually have a slightly different version of the vid with two scenes replaced and the Nat clip was one of them. I wanted to get Nick in the shot so I tried the little swing he does around her in the tag of 'Dark Knight: The Second Chapter". I think it's a much more appropriate clip but despite the nice movement it has it didn't "pop" for me the way the clip used did. Maybe it's Natalie's magenta suit, lol

Good golly! That is s surprisingly hot vid all through -- though I should not be at all surprised, as Janette was always the hottest character in FK. I love the transition from her on the loft balcony in "Killer Instinct" to her in the "Father Figure" flashback; that's beautiful. And I'm intrigued by the one moment in the entire vid that Nick walks away from her.

I'm rather fond of that transition as well. I also liked the bit where Nick is kissing Sylvaine and then it cuts to him kissing Janette in the exact same framing.

(Then, much later in the season, one could read his enthusiastic run to her in "The Fix" as a misinterpretation/overinterpretation of her remarks in AFWTD.)

That's a wonderful and very plausible interpretation of Nick's actions. I always liked how Janette called Nick "an eternal boy". I do think it's an accurate assessment. It's one of the things that's so appealing about him. Even after so much darkness, he's never lost that exuberance for life.
