[Side Story] Adventures- Part IV
Ah! Christmas is next week! I went shopping yesterday and all of the stores that I went to were filled with a lot of people. Plus, the long line ups to the cashiers! Wow! Christmas shopping is fun but it is always hectic.. (-_-) I'm hoping that Santa is going to get me a laptop, I've been a good girl, right? XP
-Karen and Arashi are in Toronto. Arashi is staying at a hotel near her house and recently, Karen just found out that her brother, Thomas is going to propose to his girlfriend at the birthday party. How will Karen's mother react when she will receive more surprises than a surprise birthday party.

Part IV
Today is my mother’s surprise birthday party. About 100 guests are coming for the party. My relatives, family friends and some of people who know us are going to show up. Wow, I’ve just noticed that I have a big family..
I was at the banquet hall that my father reserved. I was helping to decorate the hall. It was big, it British style of interior and it had a dance floor with a bar. Thomas also booked a DJ to play the music.
I placed the vase of beautiful white orchids on each table as the centerpiece, with a number and little candles around the vases.
The banquet hall was ready and the banquet hall came with a kitchen and professional chefs would cook the dinner and dessert. It came in a package and my dad kind of bargain with the owners for the price of the package all together. My dad is really cheap when it comes down to money…
I was wearing a strapless yellow dress. I bought it when I was in Japan. It didn’t cost a lot and a Japanese designer made it.
I tried to find Thomas or my dad. I had to tell either one of them that I had to pick up guests who don’t have cars to drive in. Of course you know who I’m going to pick up. Hopefully they are ready when I go pick them up.
“Ah, dad.” My dad tossed his head to me and smiled. He was setting up the thank you bags in front of the entrance of the banquet hall. “Dad, I have to go and pick up peop…some things. I’ll be back soon.” My dad nodded and walked into the kitchen.
Before I left to pick up Arashi, I noticed the seating area. There was going to be an empty table because a family couldn’t make it. So I took a pen and wrote Storm in English. I bet people are going to question about who wrote “Storm” in the seating area. I guess I should put an arrow, then I wrote “Karen’s friends.”
I smiled and I quickly took out Thomas’ keys from my small black purse and ran to his SUV. Then I drove to the hotel to pick up Arashi.
As I was walking inside the hotel, I noticed that Arashi were not in the lobby. I cocked my head and went up to the floor that they were staying in.
I knocked on Aiba’s hotel room door. Then the door opened, I could see Aiba was half naked. I widened my eyes and then I turned my body around.
“Karen-chan, you look pretty in your dress.” He said to me.
I giggled and said. “Well, you look pretty in your boxer shorts too.” Then I heard the door quickly slam behind me.
I laughed and then I shook my head. I walked down the hallway to knock on the other member’s doors.
They were ready and nervous. “Minna, don’t be worried. My family is really nice.” They looked at me and Sho said. “We’re not worried about meeting your family, Karen-chan.”
I cocked my head. We were standing in front of Aiba’s hotel room. He was the only one that wasn’t ready yet. “Then, what are worried about?” I asked them.
They looked the other way. “We’re worried about you and Aiba-kun. You guys really love each other but how about something wrong happens? You guys will be torn apart.” Jun said.
I smiled and sighed. “You guys worry about us too much. I know I’ve been through a lot of stuff but in the end, I’m still with you guys right? No matter what happens, we’ll find a way to be together.”
They smiled at me and then Aiba’s hotel room door opened. “I’m ready!” Aiba shouted.
Nino looked the other way and muttered. “Took you long enough.” The rest of the members and I giggled. I grabbed onto Aiba’s arm and then we started to go to my mother’s surprise birthday party.
I was walking in front of Arashi. I felt like they were my bodyguards. 5 handsome guys were walking with me in their suits! I always wanted to experience something like this before.
In my heart I was feeling nauseous. Will my mother be upset that I brought my boyfriend and his band members with me to her birthday party?

I drove back to the banquet hall. I noticed that many people were walking inside, carrying gifts. “Wow, many people brought gifts..” I muttered. Aiba was sitting in the passenger seat beside me and the rest of Arashi sat in the other seats. They were looking outside through the window and looking at the people who were there.
“Wow, you have a lot of family members.” Ohno said. I nodded and said. “Yeah, but I hardly see most of them.”
I parked Thomas’ SUV in a spot and stopped the engine. “You guys will sit at a table called Storm in English. The seating plan will be in front of the banquet hall doors, beside the guest book. You can sign it if you want. You can ask me later to translate it. I have to meet up with my father, you guys can go right in and find your seats.” I said and they nodded their heads. I grabbed my purse and we all got out of the SUV. I locked the SUV and then I felt someone grabbing me. I turned my head to see Aiba and he embraced me in a hug.
“Masaki..” I muttered. I looked up at him and then he smiled. “Ganbatte ne.” He said and kissed me. I smiled and then I walked towards the banquet hall.
I quickly walked inside to see many people that I recognized. “Karen!” I heard someone shout. It was my aunt, uncle and their three children. Remember when I went to eat dinner on Christmas Eve at their house? Yeah, those were the bratty kids that made a mess in their own house. I smiled and waved to them.
I walked inside the kitchen to see the chefs cooking dinner. I smiled and then I walked to the dressing room inside of the building. I saw my father fixing his tie. I smiled and then I walked inside and said. “I’ll help you with that.” He sighed and smiled at me.
“You remind me so much of your mother. I hope she will like this surprise birthday party.” I smiled and nodded my head. “She will, don’t worry. She is going to be in a whirlwind of surprises.” He cocked his head and then I said. “I better greet some of the guests. I’ll call Thomas to give him the heads up.” He nodded to me and I left the dressing room.
I walked towards the banquet hall. I looked around to see Arashi, they were sitting at the table and were looking around the room. I smiled and walked up to them but a lot of people wanted to talk to me.
“Karen-chan! It’s good to meet you again, how is it living in Japan?” I gave them a pleasant smile and then I saw Arashi looking at me. I bit my lip and mouthed. “Gomen.” They nodded their heads and smiled at me.

I laughed and then I shook my head. I walked down the hallway to knock on the other member’s doors.
