Chapter 8- Mixed Thoughts
Sayaka had her omnai at a traditional Japanaese restaurant. There were wooden slide doors, pillows to sit on and a low table to eat on. "Konbawa, Mayama Sayaka desu." Sayaka bowed her head to the man across from her. He was tall, good looking and smart. Their matchmaker was sitting beside Sayaka. "Hajimemashite, Yoshida Daiki desu." He bowed his head and Sayaka smiled back. Then the table became silent.
The 6 members had asked the waitress to let them have the room next door. All of them were surprised that they successfully found Sayaka. When they were walking to their room, no one had said a word to each other. They didn't know what to say each other. The rest of the day was filled with silence in NEWS' room.
On the other hand, Sayaka was trying to make Yoshida-san more comfortable. She couldn't break his invisible wall, he seem that he didn't want to be here either. Sayaka sighed and whispered to the matchmaker beside her. "Can we go, I can't make him talk. No matter how hard I try, he would ignore me." The matchmaker shrugged her shoulders and said. "You're not trying hard enough. Sayaka-chan, try harder." The matchmaker nudged her with her arm and Sayaka sighed again. "Yoshida-san, why don't we go take a walk. I saw a beautiful pond outside." He nodded and they both got up.
NEWS hestitated when they heard footsteps coming from Sayaka's room. "They're going outside." Yamapi muttered and left slowly so Sayaka would see him coming. The other members followed and they were spying on Sayaka and her "guy".
"What is your occupation?" Sayaka tried to start a conversation. "I work at a IT company." Sayaka nodded and they walked to the pond. Sayaka ran to the pond and pointed to the fish. "Hey, there's fish!" Sayaka smiled and Yoshida looked up to see her brillant beautiful smile. "Hm.. Really?" Yoshida said. He slowly walk up beside Sayaka and looked to where Sayaka was pointing to. Sayaka looked so happy just to see fish, while Yoshida was staring at her.
When everything was happening, NEWS was furious that Sayaka might marry the guy. Shige had a strong temptation to pull Sayaka from there and make his move before she gets married to him.
NEWS was leaning closer to hear her conversation with that man. Suddenly, they fell onto the bush and Sayaka and Yoshida turned around to see them. Both of them gasped and Sayaka started to laugh. She ran to them and NEWS got up to await for Sayaka's shouting.
"Minna.. Why you guys doing here?" Sayaka smiled and waved her hand to Yoshida. She smiled to Yoshida and said. "Yoshida-san, this is NEWS. I work as their assistant manager." Yoshida nodded and bowed. "Yoshida Daiki desu. I'm a big fan of yours." Sayaka shouted "Eh? You like NEWS?" Yoshida nodded and was eager to shake NEWS' hands.
Meanwhile, Sayaka was sitting down looking at the handshaking event. She sighed and muttered. "I guess boys can be fans of Johnny's too.."
