Yeah, I'm ok, although it's a bit of a kick in the teeth. It's not like I was a good prefect anyway. I feel shite for getting everyone else into trouble.
Well, if you're all right, then that's the important thing. And to be fair, it's a very odd year to be a prefect, with Snape and the Carrows, and it's your first time being one. What did they do with the badge though? I take it they didn't give it to Neville, after the firecracker incident but then, there aren't any other Gryffindor boys in our year. Do you know what your punishment is going to be yet? I hope it's not too awful, but then again, it's Snape.
They gave it to Zabini. And don't you think being demoted is a punishment itself? I didn't even last a term, Mam's going to kill me. But we have to report to the dungeons with our toothbrushes. I think I might have to buy a new one, after.
They what? That doesn't even make any sense, giving it to a Slytherin. Well, I guess it actually does in a really awful sort of way, and I wonder how long it'll be before the whole system doesn't make any sense anymore and only favours the Slytherins, and oh Seamus, I'm so sorry. You're right, that's bad enough as is, but hopefully, your mother will understand somehow? After all, it's Snape and the Carrows who took away your badge, and, well, they're just awful, and would anyone really want their approval anyway? I don't know what I'm supposed to think about my own badge right now if --
Toothbrushes? Are they going to make you clean the Potions classroom with them? That's terrible -- I don't think you'd want to use it again even with a good Scourgify, but at least it'll be the holidays soon and you'll be able to buy a new one soon? Would anyone have a spare they might be able to give you for now though? I'll see if I brought an extra with me this term, but I can't make any promises.
