So the newest panel in my website,
regents09, has dropped. Furthermore another panel, amphion&zethus06, is now fully colored. I still have work to do on a few up-coming panels, but that will happen soon.
So I just returned from a trip to the beach that was entirely unsuccessful if measured by the amount of fish that we caught (zero), but was on the other hand quite satisfactory if measured by the amount of raw oysters eaten (thirty-six). We went down to
St. George Island, Florida, and I learned two major things from this trip:
First off, when fishing into the ocean for whiting, use a
pyramid sinker rather than a
bank sinker. The bank sinkers tend to roll around more in the surf. An older gentleman down from us a little ways caught three fish in the time it took for us to catch nothing. He looked at our rigs (very similar except for the sinkers) and explained this to us. Quite informative.
Secondly I learned than there's a resturant in Dothan, Alabama called
Hunts Oyster Bar where you can get fresh-shucked Appalachicola Bay Oysters, cheaper than you can anywhere around the Appalachicola Bay itself! A dozen raw oysters were $4.99, while in Appalachicola I paid $7.99 for a dozen raw and on St. George Island I paid $9.99. These are the exact same oysters too. Truly a fortuitous discovery. Hunts also make some fine mashed potatoes and gravy to boot.
Anyhow, that's it for now. Cheers!
