(no subject)
Hi! I live in Kansas City, now.
It's actually been pretty lovely, so far. I acclimated to the climate shockingly quickly and I actually dig it. I reserve the right to whine about the winter though, which I think I would do pretty much anywhere. As expected, it's really cool to live proximate to my dad, although he's still half an hour away. And, I'm still quite pleased about the home-buying thing. My house is cute as a button, and I want to (try to?) do a million things with it. I just need to work out how to lookit those things one at a time. Yes yes.
The actual reason I started writing this post though, is so I could share this number: 22.
See, I'm keeping a running count of number of McCain(/Palin) yard signs I run across. Well, more specifically, houses whose yards contain one or more of them. Once I hit twenty, I wanted to stop counting, but so far haven't been able to.
So, here are the numbers, because I'm so sure you care. ;) Each number is cumulative and contains the one before it.
Oct 6 : 9
Oct 7 : 18
Oct 11: 22
I live in Missouri, but only a couple miles from State Line Rd. Most of the McCain signs I've seen have been in Kansas. Since Kansas is assumed to go McCain anyway, I'm trying to avoid caring.
I'm happy to report that I've seen dozens, perhaps hundreds of Obama(/Biden) signs -- enough that I can't keep track of which I've seen before, so haven't bothered to try. Unsurprisingly, most of them have been in Missouri. Go Missouri! Then again, my neighborhood is urban (for the Midwest anyway), so who knows if this is indicative of how MO will go in the end.
Conclusion? Yeah, I lack one. Ciao for now.
