Customer breakdown. Thanksgiving night.
Worked five hours. Six to eleven.
For fifteen minutes from about 7:30-7:45-ish, and for the entire hour from 10-11, I was the only checker on a lane.
Discounting random running to ring up liquor for the under-21 year olds who can't legally.. my grand customer total was....

For those of you who haven't worked in a grocery store.... This is mind-numbingly slow.
Hour by hour breakdown...
6-7: (We had FOUR lanes open this hour. Your guess as to why is as good as mine..) 17 customers.
7-8: 24 customers
8-9: 18 customers.
9-10: 27 customers.
10-11: 23 customers.
Note, I think about five of these people had more than 5-10 items.
This equates to about 3 minutes of doing absolutely nothing to every 45 seconds or so of working.
Argh.
Slow days like that are hell. They drag on FOREVER.
Plus, during my last hour, a really flaky lady happened to drop and break a bottle of wine right in front of my register.
God, I hate that smell.
BUT.... No work at least til Monday. Yay.
