Here are some of the random events as of late.
I spent the weekend and camp and had a full cabin...literally. 16 campers, 4 staff, and 15 volunteers. Yes that's right, 15 volunteers! It was amazing. We had a camper buddy system, every camper in a wheelchair had someone to push them up the hills (and anywhere else they wanted to go). It was wonderful. I love camp. I'm going back again this weekend for the kid's retreat. So exciting.
I have increases my household by one. Yes, because every crazy cat lady needs more than one cat. I am cat sitting for my brother while he and the girlfriend get settled into an apartment and/or house. So for now, I have two cats. Binx (my cat) is not happy about this intrusion from Max (Nelson's cat). She has spent the majority of the past two weeks moping around the apt hissing at Max and being a general pain. Most times though, the cats just stare at each other. Its a stare off at any given time in my house. Good times for sure.
If BIO 303 doesn't kill me, Children's lit sure will. I have a huge lesson plan due this week for BIO (its worth 41% of my grade, but no stress or anything). Tomorrow I'm taking another two quizzes on two books for Children's lit. In case any of you is wondering "Harriet The Spy" is not worth reading. I spent most of the book wanting to throw it out the window. "Holes" however is proving to be much better and I might actually keep it for later reading/just to have. Up next on the reading list, "Homeless Bird," "The Witch of Blackbird Pond," and something else that I can't remember and don't feel like looking up currently. Its along the same lines as the other books though.
My friend Carly, and future roommate, is coming to Mich for a visit in 17 days!! This will be the third person I've seen from CA since coming back. CA seems like some sort of distant dream I once had. It's going to be so nice to hang out with someone who can help me remember one of the greatest summers yet. Not to mention that Carly is just a super wonderful person. Seriously, she's great. I think I'm going to recruit her for camp here in Mich. She's that wonderful.
I think that's about it.
