So, I guess because so many great things happened to me on Wednesday, Thursday felt like being a complete pain in the ass to compensate.
I worked a split shift for one (6-10/3:30-9), which is always bleh. The day was fine until I was driving to school, was on the Boulevard of the Allies, heard a siren, slammed on my brakes about 30 feet before the intersection, but my car didn't stop until it was right in front of the emergency vehicle (which happened to be a police car and they were able to stop and I got out of their way.) I am so happy I didn't die, cause I'm pretty sure if they'd also been unable to stop I would have. (BTW, for once I wasn't speeding, since it was snowing.)
School was OK, and I got to tell lots of people I got an interview. It was totally happy.
Then, I had to deal with this bitch lady. Apparently, she got the wrong phone card and it was Michelle's fault and Heather told her it was OK to return, but we don't do phone card returns at the store level normally, and lots of people have been falsely namedropping recently, so I told her son, who came to do the return that normally we don't do returns, but that I would ask the assistant manager. She said no. Patty came up to buy something prior to leaving, and I asked her, too, and she apologized to him and told him he'd have to do it through the phone company and corporate. He got mad and left and his mom called later and was being pretty unreasonable, but I finally got her to agree to let me give her the schedule so she'd know when Barb and Patty would be in again, since I was told to not do the return. Unfortunately, the phone decided that now would be a great time to disconnect and I didn't have her number, so I called and consulted with Barb and she said "don't do the return" again so when the lady returned, I apologized for the phone issues, told her I spoke with Barb and that she'd b glad to speak with her the next day, and upon request, gave her the managers' names and positions and the district manager's name and the corporate number. (And apologized numerous times about not being allowed to do the return.) So, after listening to her threatening to give us bad press (like I actually care) for like 30 minutes, she FINALLY leaves. But then this bitch calls me back at like 5 to 9 and escalates to the position of motherfucking crazy. She complains that customer service wasn't in after 5 (and how would I know this???) and that she's going to sue everyone who works in the store and then proceeded to threaten my personal safety and hung up. So I called Patty to tell her what a crazy bitch this lady is. Then went home, did drills and fell asleep on my laptop.
Friday, even though I told her I was coming out, my teacher called off and didn't even send me an email or call my cell and leave a voicemail for me, which I thought was really rude.
Saturday, I worked, read the email from corporate where the lady told them I was "rude and uncaring" (because I wouldn't go against what Patty said - but honestly, the only point where I got even slightly rude with this lady was when she began personally threatening me) and it gave me a good laugh. I kind of hope that woman gets hit by a bus, cause she's such a miserable, bitchy individual. Later, I went out with Dye-san for dinner and to shop for interview clothes, which was fun, but very tiring, cause I didn't get home till about 11 after being out since before 9 with the exception of stopping home for 10 minutes.
Also, on Friday my Wyatt died. :( But, he was old, and it looked like he died in his sleep, plus he wasn't sick, so at least I can be pretty sure he didn't suffer.
