Dream

Damn...the details are already fading but I had an awesome dream last night.

It was an alternate history or alternate time line.

The Nazi's had won WWII but the US was in constant rebellion. Magic and tech existed. Tech was higher than WWII but not up to today's standards.

My dream character was part of teh rebellion (Rebel SCUM)... and we had been working on a 'magic' battery. That apparently we got working (before the dream, or something I've forgotten).

A group of us were traveling down a highway in an area we thought was 'neutral' territory (more lawless than neutral).

It was a semi-military convoy. There were jeeps with weapons, cars, we had some semi's carrying supplies, and several Aircraft, Mustang P-51, in good/new shape (which makes me think the dream was in the past). Offering air support. I know some of the soldiers had machine guns but there were also some with "fire wands" because dream me asked one of them (in full military outfit) what the range on his was....he said intensity dropped dramatically after 1/2 mile.

Right as I was asking about this, we hear a loud roar. We all look up and see two Jets come racing over the ridge (Sleeping me knows what they are, but everyone else is surprised and has no idea and has never seen anything like it). Apparently the Nazi's have been doing their own upgrades. These are really almost Vero-tech, we find out in a moment. The demolish our P-51's in no time flat, while that happens several of the mages blanket the highway with an illusion that makes us blend into the highway, more or less invisible. The caravan stops, we're just a couple miles away from some town.

The two jets come passing over us and dream me is nervous that the illusion didn't hold. However it does and as the two jets approach the ground they turn into cars, one is a convertible and I can see the driver laughing (POV changes in the dream at that point, what had all been dream me POV, jumped to the edge of the town watching the cars approach POV, then switches back to my POV).

Dream me see's the pilot grinning and it sets me off. I recite a spell...but this is kinda cool, the spell is almost like a formula, I remember saying things like "Quantity (unknown word) squared minus (unknown word) squared end quantity cubed plus Quantity (unknown word) by (unknown word) end quantity divided by one" it took only a few seconds but sleeping me thought it was very cool.

My coat suddenly wraps around me and looks like a black op's outfit (or a ninja outfit \m/ ) and I start to fly after the car... commonly in my flying dreams...I can "feel" wings on my back even though I don't have any and I accelerate in bursts just as if I was beating my wings...it's a very odd sensation but I've had it sooo many times I don't know how else to describe it.

As I'm catching up to the car I recite another spell...this one is short, just a trigger and I slam into the car flipping it over, the pilot starts to change it back to a jet but I literally rip pieces off of it as it's transforming. The whole thing is scrap metal in seconds...the pilot is on the ground beat up but alive, and dream me is thinking we can get some intel on the new aircraft...when dream me hears the roar of the 2nd car...duh...as it did turn back into a jet and is taking off....it paces high over the caravan (still hidden) but I hear gunfire and see these bursts, really they look more like laser blasts from 70's TV, slow moving but coherent light more than fire. One of them hits the jet but just sparkles and does no damage.

I start to fly after the jet and trigger another spell and dream me wonders how fast can I fly, before I drain the 'battery'? I start accelerating but still not catching up to the jet, when I start to have trouble breathing, I have to slow down enough to recite a spell that gives me telekinesis, I create a bubble around my head and am going to try to accelerate more when I wake up.

I'm forgetting something... between the caravan and the start of the fight there was something else...but it's faded.

Overall it was a damn fun dream!
