For those I haven't yet met, I'm Cheetara of the Thundercats, a Thunderian Cleric from Third Earth. [This much ( Read more... )

And how do you figure we organise ourselves for an attack we can't see coming?

I ain't seen them either. But people are talking about shadows and a bad feeling. It's not a hell of a lot to go on. If it's anything at all. Shadows are a dime a dozen here.

I had hoped others would offer solutions. [She doesn't view herself as a leader.]

But, I can suggest that organizing for an attack doesn't always mean battle or martial defense. Supply lines, communication, escape plans: surely our group can organize these. [Even something as simple as building morale by giving people tasks to focus on accomplishing.]

Maybe if we were all one group. [ There's factions even within the X-Men that are here. He's seen it. Hell, he understands it. Getting everyone together like a happy kidnapped family is something he can't imagine. ]

I say we don't let it get that far. Why wait for whatever the hell it is to be ready to attack? If it's in the shadows it's waiting for something, we shouldn't give it the chance. We should take it out first.

Even if separate smaller teams, we should be able to have some cooperation between us.

And a preemptive attack is one solution. But, I do not know that any of us has determined that the presence or presences with us are truly malevolent. Sometimes, those who cause harm, do so without intention, or even thinking they do good. I'm not sure we can really see the big picture here.

[ Julian isn't the world's best person at seeing the big picture. ]

Then that's all the more reason to go in and find out. You really want to wait for whatever it is to make the first move? We haven't had that choice before.

It's not the way of Thundercats to retreat, or back-down from a fight, but it's as much our way to do some reconnaissance and consider strategy, before we attack.

So, yes, I agree we need to act to find out what we are dealing with. But, I'm not ready to agree our first move should be one of attack. There is yet the chance that may invite retribution we have no defense against.

So what do you want to do, talk to them first? Hey, I'm there. I'm all for that. Except there's no one to talk to.

We need to draw them out. Wherever they are, they're playing games and I don't like being a chess piece. We need to make the next move and take control away from them.

Talk, if possible, but I was thinking more- sense or observe, if possible.

What bait would you suggest, if we are to make a trap?

The only thing that draws them out is us. We're what they're interested in. So we're the bait.

Where then? We are already trapped within these two districts.

The Clock Tower?

There's two places here that are different. The clock tower, right in the middle. And the station where no trains stop.

Take your pick, you been here longer than me.

[Cheetara takes a moment to consider. Usually Tygra and Lion-O are the ones who argue strategy.]

I think Central Station would seem a better place to trap one of us, because it is underground, with limited exits.

[Riskier for the bait, but the better trap.]

Then maybe that's where we start. Been meaning to investigate that place anyway.

[ He's not worried. If this is supposed to be a test of strength, he can match it. ]
