I have yet to find a library, but there must be one in a city of this size.

No museums or galleries, at that. Overall the culture leaves something to be desired.

The map does suggest that. Maybe this time we will explore in pairs. A library would be worth any expedition.

Knowledge of the people who lived here before us would be most welcome, though you are right to suggest caution. Let us hope we are not so easily fooled a second time.

I hate to think what traps books may hold. Snatch our words? Trees I can pass, but that trap would just be cruel.

If we are cautious we may avoid such traps. The white tree felt strange to me, though I did not know why at first. Other dangers in this city might share it's taint.
