Well, at least this is a generous step up from the Underworld.

Anyone figure out if anyone or anything in particular is responsible for this whole fiasco?

nier: kainé, hunger games (the): finnick odair, dragon age: artis cousland, lord of the rings: éomer

[First there's a big pink blur because his thumb is over the camera, but he readjusts his grip and can be seen.]

You are not the first to mention the Underworld. Several have stated they are from such a place, though I know it not.

As of yet, no one has provided a reason as to our imprisonment.

[The beginnings of a smile dies away into a somewhat disappointed frown after he admits not coming from the Underworld. Bummer.]

... I see.

That doesn't surprise me. Whoever it is, they're wise enough to let the angry mob tire itself out before taking responsibility.

I am sorry I could not be of more help.

If such is the case, then I fear it will take some time for us to, as you say, "tire ourselves out." And therefore it will be some time before our captors reveal themselves.

It's nothing. Don't worry about it.

If that's how it has to work out, so be it. I've got nothing but time nowadays.

I suppose we all have time now, as we were taken from what we were doing.

Well, I always did fancy honing my skills at Wicked Grace. Might as well start now, yes?

I would say so, though I know not what Wicked Grace is.

It's a gambling game of cards. There aren't so much rules as guidelines, per se. So you can imagine how difficult winning can be against certain kinds of people.

I don't tend to win often, myself.

I see. Arguments must arise often in such a game.

Apologizes. We have not exchanged names. I am Éomer.

True, but people don't tend to argue with someone wearing full plate.

[She almost opens her mouth to say 'I know', but manages to catch herself at the last second.] Pleased to meet you. I'm Cousland.

[He chuckles at that.]

No indeed. Not unless they too wear armor and wield a blade. Then they would take the risk.

Cousland, greetings.

Ah, but then that would just make things interesting.

Very much so. Though I would not wish to lose my life over something as simple as a game of cards.

[He pauses.]

Though I should say, I rarely go into a fight intending to lose.

Ah.

[He smiles just slightly, though it doesn't reach his eyes.]

When one believes they have lost all for which they live, they will run into the battle only wishing to destroy as many of the Enemy as possible before death takes them.

I know that feeling. But sadly it's not nearly as heroic or satisfying in the end as the stories make it sound.
