[So someone has been dead since the start of this memory stealing tree/orb debacle. But he's back now! Could he be Abax's first death? This is very possible. But he'll be sitting on one of the autopsy tables in the morgue, naked as the day he was born. Though the camera stops at his waist, before anything naughty might be seen

Why?
[Well okay sort of responding if a one question and flat look can be called a response. It might eventually dawn on Charles that they are both also now in the hospital.]

[Don't tell him that, he might come try to find you, Charles. Naked and looking for trouble.]
Reply
[The question is which thought is more disturbing. The naked or the trouble.]

[Antagonizing Erik was his new favorite thing. Sorry, Charles.]
He mentioned you before, figured the opportunity smiled upon me, why not snatch it up while I could, yeah? I did ya a favor, Charlie, brought you in and off the streets where any ol' person coulda nabbed you up.
Done terrible things t'ya.

He, who mentioned me?
[He's deliberately ignoring the baiting about having been easy pickings and the idea of 'terrible things' being done to him. He's seen your mind Burke, you're a horrible, horrible human being.]
Reply
[Horrible is a strong word, Charles.]
Reply
[In a flash or perhaps just Burke's creepy thoughts hitting his head or maybe he's just sensitive to being mistaken for his twin, whatever but the pieces are sliding into place. Frowning, Charles hears words come out of his mouth that make no sense, yet seem the most natural things to say.]
Yes, well, you had your laugh at his and my expense. I expect you to maintain your distance going forward.
[Its a silly gesture, Burke will no doubt figure out the truth sooner rather than later but its not going to be from Charles.]

And here I thought we could be friends.
Reply
Friends, do not use each other as bait. However, if you wish to talk, I'm willing to listen.
[Or possibly fuck with your mind again.]
Reply
Never said I was a good friend. Not had much practice, some reason people just don't like me much. Not sure why.
[And he'll chuckle, obviously knowing why.]
Reply
I'm sure you have no idea. [Said flatly, because seriously, SERIOUSLY?!]
How did you end up with all those tattoos?
Reply
Y'like 'em?
[One hand holds his phone as his other comes up, smoothing over his chest, tracing lines here and there.]
Liked the idea of it, most people who're inked tend t'be viewed as devils as it is. Only fittin' isn't it? Lotta lads I worked with called me the Irish Devil. Found it pleasantly fittin'.
[The pain was quite lovely when getting them done as well.]

They're ... distinctive. [The man wants to do terrible things to you Charles, you can be more rude than that.]
And you liked that title, like the pain also, don't you? [The last bit is more from their first face to face meeting than any active reading at the moment, though Charles is slowly becoming aware that Burke's mind is a bit close for comfort.]
Reply
Correct on all accounts, Charlies. Y'know that cause a your little mind games, eh? Y'can get in me head, can't ya?
[Don't think he doesn't remember that. It intrigues him still.]
Reply
Stop that. Stop thinking those things!
[He's responding before the full import of what Burke just said hits him and he just confirmed it for the damn man.]
They're not games and I don't want in your head.
[Its dark and twisted in there and it reminds him of things of things Marko had wanted the institutions to do to him.]

[A tap to the side of his head, grinning. And don't mind if the video feed bobs a bit, wobbly, he's getting up to walk around now, just sauntering through the hospital, naked. It's a beautiful sight really.]
Y'don't want in me head, but ya sure did somethin' to it before. Would ya do it again? If I found ya... scared ya a bit, eh? That why y'messed with me? Gotta admit, lad, you're the only one ever made me feel like that.
Should be proud a yourself.
