[ since her arrival, alice has settled in surprisingly well-- perhaps because she's accustomed to winding up alone in strange worlds with bizarre people. she's found proper clothing somewhere, and is now dressed much the same way she's often dressed in illustrations (the same way she dressed at home), in a blue dress. her hair is held back from her face with a black ribbon, and it's apparent that she's standing just outside the park.

she's quiet for several moments as she stares out into the trees, but then she glances back at the video again, giving a mournful little sigh. ]

I'm afraid the trees don't sing at all here. I've learned several very useful things, though, which I suppose is always nice. Especially when those useful things are also interesting things.

[ she tugs her shawl tighter around herself, taking a careful step into the park and moving along one of the paths. ]

Countries have faces, which I suppose I already sort of knew. After all, one would think that mountains and-- and lakes and things have to be sort of like facial features. But it seems that countries have very small faces, and in fact they can be people-shaped. So I believe that I should like to meet England one day. I imagine tea parties with one's nation must be terribly exciting.

[ she pauses finally, and after a moment, she turns the video toward the lake and the tree blooming at its center. ]

.. Lovely things can be quite dangerous things, can't they? I learned that in Wonderland.

[ her breath hitches, hiccups, the video shaking ever-so-slightly, her voice lowering to a shaky murmur. ]

I-- I hope that.. everyone stays very safe.
