I've got a staff that isn't mine. [He's holding a white, well-crafted staff with his other hand.] I kind of like it though. Light and it feels like it hasn't been touched by darkspawn.

The tag says...Gandalf. Is there a person who goes by that name here? If not, I say finders keepers!

[Relief. So much relief.] It is not wise to advocate taking from a wizard, my friend. I am Gandalf, and I do believe that staff is mine.

You don't suppose we can solve this predicament over a game of Wicked Grace? [A pause.] Oh, fine. Come pick it up. I guess I'll have to go staff-less for a little while longer.

Perhaps an exchange would be in order if you prefer a staff made of natural wood? [Gandalf holds up a pale birch staff made from a small tree he'd felled in the park a week ago. It was taking time, but the branches and bark were stripped, the wood worked smooth and gleaming and warm.]

I've yet to imbue it with much power. Perhaps you would like to complete its crafting?

[Not the most appealing staff to carry around...though the Commander had several in the armory. Better than nothing!]

That's...awfully helpful of you. [He'd happily craft runes for it if he had the materials.] Thanks. I'll be near the clock tower.

Clock tower.. [there's a moment's pause and muttering to himself as he looks around.] Ah. The tower with the curious measuring device. Excellent! Look for me soon, I won't be long.

[True enough to his word, a wizard in white is soon visible walking down the street, bearing the white birch staff in hand. It fits well enough, but was never quite right, not like his own staff.]

[The white could be spot from a mile away. And a beard like that would make the First Enchanter jealous- if he had cared for such things.]

Wow. You're taller than I thought. Anyway, I believe this belongs to you. [With one last twirl of the staff (because it's fun to do), Anders hands it over to the wizard.]

[What can he say? Gandalf is a creature of style. He accepts the staff as its handed over, the white wood glowing at his touch. So much better.] You have my thanks. And this.. [A slightly mischievous glint to his eye as he hands over the fresh staff with a similar twirl.]

[Anders takes the staff with a nod, examining it for a bit.] You wouldn't happen to have imbued it with lyrium, have you?
