No, the trains don't feel like us, well done. That'd be because - wait for it - we aren't trains.

[Deliberately missing the point of a post not directed at him in the first place? That's typical of him, I'm afraid.]

[Sorry he's distracted and distracted and ... now looking down at the device and at you as if you're mentally deficient.]

What?

[It's not an inaccurate assumption to make.]

It's a reply to your cryptic declaration. You know, about the trains? I'd be more worried if they did feel like people. 'Cause, y'know, that'd make public transport kinda skeevy, in a Thomas the Tank kind of way.

[This conversation should go swimmingly!]

Do you normally start a conversation off by assuming the person your speaking with is cracked enough in the head to be talking to trains?

Because that is a little presumptuous.

Actually? Yeah, I often do. I'm not usually far wrong, either, including in this case, 'cause, uh, there's a lot saner things to do than call yourself up to gush about the fabulous sweater store.

I wasn't calling myself. [He has to pause and think about that because technically speaking...] Well, genetically speaking I was calling myself but he's not me.

Yep, that's totally balanced. I was so wrong to think you might have been even the littlest bit nuts.

[All the sarcasm, Charles. All of it.]

I beg to differ. The presence of you is a clear indicator that I've not gone 'round the bend as I've been enough of a masochist as to invent a voice like yours in my head.

[Annoying man as proof of sanity, who knew?]

[He sounds a little miffed at that.]

I'm not imaginary, I'm the voice of reason. From the real world.

[Did he just do 'spooky' finger-waggling gestures there? Yes. Yes, he did. Charles is right, he's probably not masochistic enough to come up with Gabriel :T]

[Did you seriously just finger waggle at him?]

Of the many voices in my head at the moment, yours' is by far the least reasonable I've heard.

And exactly which 'real world' would that be? As far as I can tell there are at least three different dimensions and four different time lines intersecting in this place. Who is to say your reality is the same as mine?

Buddy, I'm pretty sure my reality is very far from the same as yours. For a start, mine's real, and yours - well, no offence, but I'll believe there's two of you walking round when I see it.

As it would be safe to assume that for the moment your reality and mine both consist of this place, I'd say we're both rather suspect, wouldn't you?

Nope. I'd just say we're probably in more trouble than Indiana Jones usually is. No big, though.

Indiana who?

[Early 1960s, forgive him for the lack of pop culture skills.]

Oh, for crying out loud, not this again.

[No one ever gets his pop culture references. It makes him sad.]

[Charles snorted and looked aggrieved.]

Why not use a less obscure reference, like maybe ... Tin-Tin.
