I need to speak to you. In person. There are things I know that concern you and you deserve to know about them.

[Filtered to Malik; Text only]

I'm telling him today, you may want to make sure you're available in case this doesn't go well. I'll let you know either way.

Voice;

Where do you wish to meet? [ His voice is a little strained; one can practically hear the 'Do I have to?' that tinges the edges. ]

You chose. I'll meet you anywhere. [Yes you have to. And him giving you total control of where they meet should tell you exactly how serious this is.]

[ There is a considerable delay between the time the other replies, and when Altaïr shows the courtesy to do the same. Long enough that no doubt the other might have wondered if he'd hung up, set his phone down and simply wandered away.

But no, in the end he spoke up once more. ]

There is an office building near the hospital marked with red lights. I will meet you on the roof.

I'll be there soon. [You can't see it, but he's already moving towards your location, running across rooftops and jumping over the empty spaces between buildings.

It takes him about 15 minutes to reach the building in questions and another couple to reach the top. He pulls himself up and blinks, activating his Eagle Vision to search for the blue of his counterpart. Spotting him, he deactivates the sight so as he moves over to the other.]

Al Mualim is dead.

[ He waited upon the rooftop for the other's arrival, doing his best not to pace. Prickling, Altaïr could not help but wonder what it was the other would call him for- what seemed so urgent without having to be spoken with urgency at all.

It was strange to know the nuances of another person so intimately; strange to know that the other was nervous of whatever it was he had to say.

So Altaïr waited. Nervous himself, and expectant. ]

[ He saw the other as he approached, and Altaïr almost considered retreating into shadow, perhaps through the door of the emergency exit upon the roof, or leaping off the side where he'd marked, knowing a safe landing waited below. But he reminded himself that he had told the other he would attend, and listen-

and so he would try to keep his word.

His doppleganger approached, and Altaïr's back straightened, trying to keep the annoyance from his features.

This proved impossible, when the other opened his mouth. ]

[ And thus, Altaïr gave himself the flattest look he could muster.

He wasn't even going to dignify such a ridiculous statement with a reply. ]

[He felt the train of thought die off when his younger counterpart turned a blank look onto him and Altaïr floundered for a moment before he pulled himself back together. He shot a quick glare at the other before he continued.]

I wasn't done with that statement. I'm quite aware he'd have to be dead in my time.

Al Mualim dies within your year, less depending on when exactly you were pulled from. He wasn't what he claimed to be.

The men you've been sent after, surely you've noticed a trend when you speak with them in the fog? Something linking them together? [He wants the other to think, to draw conclusions on his own. This conversation would hopefully go better if he doesn't just expect his younger to just accept everything he had to say.]
