Understandable. It's a disorienting way to wake up. [And that is a drastic understatement.] Is anyone bringing you food and clothing?

I've been speaking to my sister as well. She's going to come.

Good. This isn't the best of places to be stranded without anyone you know.

Is it terribly dangerous? [She's not scared, exactly. More like curious about what to prepare for.]

It's fairly dangerous, yes. Aside from the local dangers, there are as many unpleasant people here as you'd find in any port. But even if there weren't, supplies are limited - a small group can make their way more easily than any one person alone.

What about large groups?

I suppose that would depend on what you mean by large.

I'm not really sure. More than ten people, perhaps.

That's not really very many. If they knew what they were doing, and how to cooperate, they'd be fine. Does that mean you have friends here already? Or - your sister does?
