[There's the rustling of paper, and the scrape of something scaled across metal, along with a sharp, surprised inhalation.]

[... more rustling. As if someone were looking around.]

Hello? [Then, quieter:] Oh, this can't be good ( Read more... )

[Tali is as ill as can be right now and it's really showing in her voice, so pardon her for not gracing Garrus with a video she can't be bothered setting up or with her sickly quarian self in person.]

Garrus - I wish I could say I'm surprised to see you here.

[It takes him a second -- with all that sick-voice -- to recognize her fully.]

Tali. They got you too, huh?

[Yeah, she's sounding a little pathetic right now.] They got me. They've got almost the whole squad - and I few extras I see you've met.

Just wait until you see the level of tech in this place. It's almost the worst thing about it. [Almost.]

Unfortunately... yeah. What happened to you? You sound like crap.

... Almost?

One of the worst things happened. The people behind this like to mess with us. It starts with waking up in the morgue, but then they've taken our memories, done stupid things like force bizarre clothing on us.... The last thing they did was put us in handcuffs with another person. We had to work with them to escape, and if we didn't work fast enough, the handcuffs had jagged edges on the inside that were tipped with poison. The more time we took, the more the edges dug in.

We got out of it, but I got poisoned and and it put holes in my suit.

I heard about the clothing, and the memories... but. Poison?

Did you see a medic? A doctor? Anyone?

The handcuffs dispersed an antidote when we began to make progress, and my partner helped. Legion helped me patch up my suit. But there's no way for me to be examined without a sterile room and the only antibiotics I had were the standard supplies built into the suit. The damaged part is sealed off and if I'm careful with it, it'll last until I find materials to fix it properly.

But all that aside, I've never had a suit breach like this and not had access to proper medical care.

[He blows out a quiet breath, listening. It's difficult to imagine a situation like that.]

... But for now, you're all right? As... right as you can be?

With any luck, I should be. I just need to lay low for a few days while the it runs its course. I'm staying with Legion - they know enough about quarian physiology and envro-suits to help.

By the way, you did get out of the morgue, right? We're not having this conversation while you're trapped in a freezer or something.
